This wine comes from a coutada – a private hunting ground – on Herdade da Mata, in the Alentejo. An area that, for decades, served as a reserve and a means of preserving the existing great biodiversity. This biodiversity is reflected in this wine through its complexity and structure, as is the private character of the coutadas through the nobility and exclusivity that this wine of superior quality presents.

It is a blend of Antão Vaz, Arinto e Viognier, with a 6-month stage in french oak barrels. It combines well with fish dishes and light meat, thanks to its gastronomical profile.
Tasting Notes
The two grape varieties, Arinto and Antão Vaz, the most important white grape varieties in the region, in harmony with Viognier, introduce this wine a complexity of aromas and flavors that are ideal for a wine that is conceived to be at the table. The light maceration, the wood present but not overwhelming and the lively acidity, make this wine an ideal one to be at the table with condimented and structured dishes.
