Viognier Flavours 2010 now on sale

In December 2011 Monte da Ravasqueira put a new white wine on sale on the Portuguese market, produced from a single varietal harvested last year. It is one of the Flavours line, differing from the dominant market trends, wines of undeniable quality and little quantity.

The new MR Viognier Flavours 2010 is the third wine of the Ravasqueira Flavours line, joining the Petit Verdot red and the Touriga Nacional rosé launched earlier.

Three prizes at the National Wine Competition 2011

Monte da Ravasqueira won three prizes at this year’s edition of the National Wine Competition, at which around 800 wines from around the country competed. 198 national and international tasters took part in the event held from May 10th to 13th at the National Exhibition Centre in Santarém.

Ravasqueira Flavours Petit Verdot 2008 and Monte da Ravasqueira Vinha das Romãs red wines, both won a Gold Prize, while the Monte da Ravasqueira 2010 white was distinguished with the Silver Prize.

Gold and silver at the 2011 Brussels World Competition

The 2009 Monte da Ravasqueira red and the 2009 Fonte da Serrana red have won a gold and a silver medal at this year's edition of the Brussels World Competition.

Honourable Mention in the Alentejo Tourism Awards

Turismo do Alentejo, ERT (Alentejan tourism board) decided to award an Honourable Mention to the Monte da Ravasqueira Wine Tourism in the 2011 Alentejo Tourism Awards, in the Best Wine Tourism category, for its exceptional contribution to the development of tourism in the Alentejo.
