Monte da Ravasqueira wines conquer gold and silver at the China Sommeliers Wine Challenge 2009

The Monte da Ravasqueira red wines have just won one gold and two silver medals at the first edition of the China Sommeliers Wine Challenge which took place in Shanghai and involved four thousand wines from around the world.  According to the contest’s official results announced on November 18th, the Monte da Ravasqueira Vinha das Romãs 2007 red wine was distinguished with a gold medal, while the Monte da Ravasqueira 2008 and Fonte da Serrana 2008 reds were awarded silver medals.  Monte da Ravasqueira’s participation in this event appears in the wake of the recent decision to put its wines on sale in Macao and Hong Kong. For this reason, the award of these medals is a very good omen in this initial stage of marketing the wines in Asian markets.  02-12-2009
