Monte da Ravasqueira wins 1st Lawyers Seven-a-Side Rugby Tournament

A Monte da Ravasqueira team won the 1st Lawyers Seven-a-Side Rugby Tournament held at the Law Sports Group playing fields in Lisbon on September 20th. More than a hundred players took part, most of them lawyers from some of the most renowned Portuguese law firms (Vieira de Almeida, Abreu Advogados, PLMJ, MLGTS and Miranda) and also from one of Brazil’s most prestigious law firms (Pinheiro Neto & Associados).  By winning the final against the Brazilians of Pinheiro Neto & Associados, the Monte da Ravasqueira team, comprising a mixed bunch of lawyers of various origins, came to rank as the best of the eight teams involved in this initiative, organised mainly for the purpose of raising funds to sponsor initiatives allowing rugby to be played by people from needier council estates.
